Though quiet and cowardly, Ruse is by no means unintelligent. He has a silent thoughtfullness, a scholarly way of dealing with things, though usually he is not associated with this. He is not particularly proud or intent of making himself seem impressive, and so usually just lets most others think he is stupid.

Usually he speaks figuratively, and feels no remorse at treating strangers sarcastically. Quite often he feels no remorse for anything at all. Though generally quite friendly to others, if not privately thinking them perhaps stupid or pointless, he is very sly and manipulative. Because he is so observational and unassuming, he is usually able to perform very light propaganda. He will do something for anything if he can see some way of getting something out of it, meaning he often betrays those who are deluded enough to think they have friendship with him.

He does not think much of those who appear brave, selfless or kind--because he believes everyone's primarily looking out for themselves. Finding fear privately a little amusing, and interesting, he is definitely similar to the merchant who adapts quickly to times of war and uses the situation to their benefit however they can.

Ruse is of small stature, and he knows it. Born the runt of his litter, he has always seemed much younger than he is. He has an unhealthy, wiry look about him, partly because of his size and partly because of his physique - he is very skinny and not at all impressive looking. One might think he is female or barely out of adulthood by looking at him.

His fur is a dusty pale brown (#987654), and is a little tufty in some places, while thinner in others. Usually he looks quite unkempt; not dirty, but like he's been rolling around on the ground for a time. Ruse's eyes are bright yellow.

Raised in a small, discreet family group around their own self-created hill, it is only natural that Ruse should have entirely Groundio ideals. His parents died very early on because of their old age; luckily he had enough siblings for most of them to survive together.

After some time however, they decided to take leave of eachother and find their own way in the world - thus their little clan of siblings was disbanded.
