Wolves of the Northern Lights – WNL – is a roleplaying game set in an alternate dimension of Iceland. The main characters in this story are wolves. Most wolves have been taken by the sýktur – a were-disease. The sýktur-form is seen as a curse upon the wolves, most don’t consider it a blessing at all, and the once peaceful valley has been torn apart by differing opinions and conflict since.
WNL has several unique features to add to your roleplay. Each wolf has a familiar, a daemon – a soul – which they can only telepathically communicate. There are several Gods known in this world. Under which moon a wolf is born decides the rest of their lives: It determines the task they serve to the pack, whether they like it or not.
On top of that we offer a dedicated, active and friendly staff, many extra activities and games, and a friendly environment.

for years, both worlds have hated each other, but kept from ending each other by necessity. The Aarimar, the air-born people of Alasdair, have for years been the source of magic and fine crafts. The Humans, those wingless being trapped to the stone earth, are a source of invention and advancment for both lands. Neither can survive without the other....
Until now. More and more humans are being born with magical abilities, and many Aarimars have set themselves to the task of creating new and wonderous creations. The balance is starting to sway dangerously, and it seems as if war is right on the horizon.
Who will gain the sought after power over the world? Who will come out on top. And will they be able to get there without first losing everything?

In the beginning, there was Nightsweep, Trancestep, Flickerbird, and Fallendream. They came from different Clans and backgrounds.
They were very young, each of them about the age of 20 some moons. But they were crushed by the expectancies, stress, and pressure. They were born special, you see. Each one of them possessed a different power: Nightsweep with super speed and strength, Trancestep the ability to read minds, Flickerbird with wings that enabled her to fly, and Fallendream the ability to predict the future.
War. It seemed inevitable, wasn't it, that every Clan wanted all four powers within possession. Greediness soon overtook the forest.
The gifted cats left, angry and ashamed for their clanmates. Their hatred was so strong that memories of family and friends were forgotten. But the traditions of the Clans remained in their hearts, for StarClan has come to guide them.
The four became leaders of the Nightmare, Trance, Flicker, and Fallen Rings. Seasons and seasons rolled by; population had grown tremendously from strays near the territories that also had powers like them. The old leaders died, replaced by a fresh wave of ambitious but brave young ones. And the age of the Rings had begun.

There's chaos in the city. No one knows what caused this epidemic to happen. The other cities are perfect. Nothing happened... so why did it only affect us? Why was Panamoor City the only city to have been struck by this disastor? It wiped out half of our population...two hundred and fifty thousand people to be approximate. There is so much confusion in the aftermath. So much grief...pain and a sense of loneliness like no other. What happened to us?
PANAMOOR CITY is changing.... and not for the better.
Vampires don't exist. It's just not possible. But today, on the streets, I saw one feeding. People have been seeing things happen, strange things that no one can really explain. There have been reports of lycans, angels and demons of walking the city during broad daylight. I can only think that they are freaks trying to gain attention, but then there are necromancers and mages using magic, yes magic, in broad daylight. This isn't supposed to be real. It can't be real.
What do these MARKS mean... genes have mutated.
I don't understand this at all. People are being marked with odd tattoo's, but they dont all have the same color. Some do, and some don't. And then...strange things happen to them. They start changing. Scientists believe that somehow, during the epidemic, the surviving people had their genes mutated. But can we really be sure? Can we be absolutely sure? There must have been something...wait, what is that? Is that...is that an Archangel? Wow...she is absolutely beautiful...so stunning. Who is that besides her? Is...is he a God of some kind?

Over a hundred years ago...
The King of Thieves was captured in a failed attempt to kill the Hylian King and usurp the throne. As punishment, he was ordered to be executed by the Ancient Sage spirits, but as this order was carried out, through some divine jest, the evil Gerudo was gifted with the Goddesses’ power and revived.
Breaking free of his restraints, the dark lord drew the weapon of his demise from his chest, his vile laugh filling the air as he prepared to kill his executioners. However, this short moment of reprieve was the King’s downfall, as the Sages managed to open a portal to another world behind him. The void the portal created began to pull at him, slowly drawing him towards its depths, proving beyond even the Goddesses’ power to prevent.
The last act of the King of Evil before he disappeared from time was to launch the Sage’s Sword into the portal’s originator, piercing the very center of the Mirror of Twilight, but this proved to be worthless, as the damage was merely superficial, and the blade was quickly pulled into the void with its new owner…
The world has since lived in peace, battles and wars are small and short, fights becoming a mere training exercise of caution. People remain alert, prepared, but relaxed and comfortable.
Unfortunately, as with all things,
peace cannot last forever…
As you can tell, this is a Legend of Zelda Roleplay site, and I'm sure those of you who have good eyes can tell its based on the Twilight Princess game, but expanded and with a twist. In the Beginning, there was always Two...
With every civilization, there were those with dark hearts and evil intent. Their souls mirroring their malicious hearts in forms of snakes, vultures, tigers, all manners of dark shrouded and evil creatures. Rumors of an oncoming war began to surface. A self proclaimed King hidden in shadow began stealing un-settled children in the night, training and hardening them into maturity, tainting their souls to grow into ferocious beasts.
In response, an Alliance was formed with the remaining nations. Their intent, to raise their own army to combat this unseen force hanging above them like a death cloud. Rather than force their citizens into servitude, the nations decided to hold Tournaments, a chance for those willing citizens to flaunt their ability and technique in an arena. The victors were then enlisted.
And this is how this universe stands....

But They have stripped away your immortality, thrust you into the body of a wolf and make you grovel to Them while They listen on deaf ears. you can very well die in paradise, a feeling you have never known.
some have banded together, recalling Man's Earth and the natural balance that wolves have taken there. packs, they say. it is the only way to survive. while one claims the Gods have abandoned them, the other is more extreme. they will not abandon the way they have lived for centuries, never abandon the Gods. it is a test. and they will fail if they abandon their faith in the Gods.
